What Is It
The Boscia Luminizing Black Mask is a "groundbreaking, mineral-rich mask that peels off to deliver powerful detoxifying, purifying, and brightening effects". It is sold at Sephora for $34.00. It claims to reduce pore size, exfoliate skin, and deliver detoxifying, purifying, and brightening effects.
When To Use It
Apply an opaque layer all over your clean face or just in your T-Zone area. Cleanse your face like normal then when it's dry, apply the mask.
How To Use It
Squeeze some product into the palm of your hand and then put an opaque layer over your entire face or just your T-Zone area. While applying, be careful not to get the mask on your hairline or on your eyebrows. Let is sit on your face for about 30 minutes; it may take longer if you it's quite thick. When it's completely dry, the mask will start to peel around the edges. Then you can peel it off from the top of your forehead downward.
Peeling off the mask is so rewarding when you look down and see everything the mask got off! The tube is easy to use, you just squeeze it on your fingertips and apply the mask to your face.
The mask can get kind of messy so be prepared for that! Also, it's fairly expensive at $34.00 and since you only get 2.8 oz. and you need a thick layer, I'm not sure how many uses I'll be able to get out of this tube. Also, it's not the most pleasant smelling mask there is. While I find it not bad, it you are highly sensitive to scents this may not be for you. This is also timely at 30 minutes so if you're in a rush, this is not the best option for you.
When you apply the mask, it's very thick and goopy; we are very scientific here on this blog. The longer it sits on your face, the stiffer and harder it gets. Also, since the instructions say to apply an opaque layer, the mask didn't seem quite dry at the end of 30 minutes so I left it on a little longer. About 95% of my face was smooth and dry to the touch, just a few spots where the mask was thicker. In the middle my neighbor asked to borrow a key so I had to meet her but I did warn her beforehand! It felt really nice to peel it off, although when I was peeling it off under my eye area, where your skin is extremely sensitive, it was slightly painful so I went very slowly. Also, you might have to roll the mask a few times to get it peeling.
While the Luminizing Black Mask didn't clean out the sebaceaus filaments, it did a great job cleaning my oily areas, my t-zone. Also, I had some remnants of the mask left on my face, mostly around the outside so you will need to wash again. My face feels incredibly smooth and fresh. I really liked it and am very interested in trying their other peeling masks! I had a very pleasant experience with this and would recommend it to others!
