I got my Makeup Wantable Collection so let's jump right in! The Wantable Collection is $40.00 for the first month, and $36.00 each month with a $4.00 credit if you keep everything from the previous month. And if you do not like something, you can send it back for a refund, which is one reason I love Wantable!
Everything seems to be in order and not broken or smooshed so that's a good sign!
Au Naturale Organic Cream Blusher in Rose, $32.00
It is very pigmented so it will be tricky to make it look natural and nice on the cheeks. Also, when twisted all the way down, a lot of product appears to be missing, but for some reason, that's a full size. I don't know why they just don't make the tube shorter. It also pulls very magenta on my skin.
Mica Beauty Mineral Eyeshadow in Aphrodite, $14.95
When I saw this in the pan it looked like a beautiful pale pink and I got so excited and knew this was going to be the standout one! Then I swatched it. It pulls very lavender/white on me and very bright. Now I'm quite not sure what to do with this now. Also, if you make your first purchase from Mica Beauty's website, you get 45% off your first online order. It did not apply evenly with a fluffy blending brush and I kept having to reapply to get the color payout I wanted. I am so disappointed in this.
Beauty For Real Get Glowing Afterglow, $29.00
I requested the highlighting and bronzing duo after seeing it in their Unboxed YouTube video but ended up with this one instead. They are both cream products, which I happen to like; my holy grail bronzer is a gel formula from Chanel. This smells like vanilla which is a nice touch and I'm excited to try it out! The highlighter is very gold so I will probably have to use this with a bronzer for a sun-kissed glow. Both of them are incredibly glittery so I'm on the fence about them.
Beauty For Real Lip Gloss in Infrared, $22.00
I requested this product after seeing a review on it and while it's nice, it's not as amazing for me. It was slightly finicky to apply and when I blotted over half of the product came off and I had to reapply as there were patches of my lips showing through. While it's very opaque when applied, after I gave a few smooches to the husband the gloss transferred like crazy and didn't even fade nicely. This was such a disappointment.
Value is spot on, well, minus $.05. So yes, the box is valued at $98.00, but only if you would have purchased all of the items on their own, and therein lies the problem. Even after typing this, I am still really upset about how silver and lavender the eyeshadow pulls on me. :-( I will be returning the eyeshadow, the cream blush, and the lipgloss. The jury is still out on the bronzer/highlighter duo. I like creams and the formula is nice, but the glitter in the highlighter is a lot, and this is coming from a girl who loves her shimmer and glitter!
