I had my last gift card to Sephora to use and I made this purchase and am thrilled with everything! I also had a few $10 coupons for beauty.com so I made some purchases I had been eying for a while! Let's get right in!
Disclaimer: you should patch test all skincare and makeup in case it irritates your skin. But me being incredibly impatient..... Do as I say... not as I do.
The first thing in my Sephora cart was First Aid Beauty's Cheers to FAB Skin limited edition kit. Now you all know how I feel about limited edition... but this was too good not to get! Plus you can purchase each item separately in their full sized version, so even if I use it and love it, I can repurchase it, which is my main gripe with limited editions. I had been lusting after their Eye Duty Triple Remedy for quite some time; this sells for $36, so for $12 more, you get all these extra goodies. Talk about a no brainer! My obsession with lip balms has only intensified with FAB's Ultra Repair Lip Therapy. Oh this is fantastic! I am definitely going to repurchase this! I love it!! Their Ultra Repair Cream is in there too and hey, who can't use another moisturizer, even if it is in a jar? Their full sized Face Cleanser is in there and I didn't get to try it out yet but it looks promising. Lastly, they have chemical exfoliation pads called Facial Radiance Pads that is supposed to exfoliate, tone, and brighten. I used one tonight and it was on the harsh side, so I'll have to try this out again in a few days.
Next in my card was FAB's Detox Eye Roller. I have a Garnier version of this and really like it so I was so excited to try this out! For a quick comparison to Garnier, FAB is thinner and comes out easier. With Garnier, I have to tilt my head up a little to make sure the product comes out. FAB is $24 which is twice as much as Garnier's but that doesn't make either one better or worse. Only time will tell!
If you're thinking this is sponsored by FAB, it's not. That would happen in my happiest of dreams! My next purchase is their Dual Repair Eye Cream. This is in a pump bottle which is always a plus (very hygienic!) and is a gel consistency which I think is quite nice. However, it is out of stock and doesn't have an option to sign up for emails when it's available again so I'm not sure if Sephora is not carrying it anymore or if FAB has discontinued it. Sad day either way.
Last FAB thing. I swear. Kind of. I got their Dual Repair Face Cream and it has a light peachy pink tone to it and doesn't smell the best. It's a very thick cream but does a great job moisturizing my face! It's usually $44 but on sale right now for $22 so I snagged it up!
And now for my beloved shimmer brick! Bobbi Brown is a genius and I want all of her bricks! I got the Shimmer Brick in Rose and it's lovely! It's so beautiful and I can't wait to use it! Two down. Four to go. Plus all the limited edition ones. Ugh.
I have a growing obsession with Bite Beauty and I'm ok with that. I picked up their Cashmere Lip Cream in Rioja and WOWZA! I need them all. It's creamy, easy to apply, stays on forever! It is a very red color so I was concerned about the application but it was really nice! I did end up putting a red liner over it after application, then blotted, then put a single ply tissue over my mouth and dusted some translucent powder over my lips. It stayed on all night! It did come off a bit when I ate, but mostly in the corners. I'm in love! You definitely need a lip primer or moisturizer before you put this on because it is very thick! But after the powder, it did not transfer at all! This is the beginning of a beautiful/expensive relationship.
Lastly, I purchased Bite's Lip Minis Luminous Creme Lipstick in Fig/Date, Violet/Palomino, and Retsina/Musk. Yes they're all limited edition but like FAB's skincare kit, these colors are in their permanent line and can be purchased in their full size forms and I'm totally ok with that. I put on Violet tonight and the formula is so creamy and easy to apply right from the tube! I didn't have to use liner or a lip brush! The formula is seriously to die for! I now have the overwhelming urge to buy all of them!
If you have the Charlotte Tilbury Mini Lipstick Charms, here is a good size comparison!
And here are the swatches for all the lipsticks!
Beauty.com is awesome because occasionally they send out $10 off a purchase of $50 or more. The best you're going to get at Sephora is 20% off and that's only if you're VIB or Rouge. You also get 5% of your purchase price to use in the next quarter. So with their 20% off sale in November, I had about $11 to spend starting in January. The only thing I don't like about their rewards is you have one month to use the rewards cash back or it'll expire. I understand only using one promo code per purchase but still... Come on... Anyway! I purchased the Nars Kabuki Yachiyo brush and it's lovely! It's so soft and does a great job with blush application! I can tell this is going to be one of my favorite brushes!
Well, this last purchase will come as no surprise. Yes. It's another blush. And yes. I needed it. The color I originally wanted wasn't available for a few weeks so I purchased Anna Sui's Rose Cheek Color in #301. It's really cute and I have a feeling this might be the beginning of a new obsession... I haven't had a chance to wear it but I did swatch it and it's very pretty. The formula isn't very cream but the colors are nice!
