November Favorites

Well November has flown by so let's jump right into my favorites!

I have been loving a nude shimmer eyeshadow and am still loving loose powders so it's no surprise Kevyn Aucoin's Loose Shimmer Shadow in Kunzite is one of my favorites as well as Makeup Geek's Sweet Dreams loose shadow! I apply my beloved Illamasqua's Hollow, a nude cream pigment, as a base (sometimes I don't use shadow primer... eek!) and then use a fluffy blending blush to apply the loose pigment. I blend and blend and blend some more!

Because I have no crease, I fake it with Kevyn Aucoin's Sculpting Powder in Medium. It looks much darker in the pan but when it's applied to my lids it comes off as a very nice contour. I dip a clean blending brush in before I do the shadows to fake a crease and it looks great! I can easily see this becoming a HG! Before I would use Buck in Urban Decay's Naked palette, but this is much more convenient to get out! Also... Buck now comes as a single shade

Too Faced Melted Nude

Too Faced Melted Nude

Too Faced Melted Nude has been giving me life! Because of this awful weather, my lips are unbelievably chapped, so I have been using Bite's Agave Lip Mask every night and morning and it's helped with my poor chapped lips. Melted Nude goes on effortlessly and quickly with the applicator so no need to get out those lip brushes and lip liners! And even though it doesn't smell good, I still love it!

The perfume I have been reaching for over and over again is Burberry's Eau de Parfum. My friend Marie wore this in college and I fell in love with it! It's taken me 10 years for me to finally pull the plug and get one for myself but I am so happy with it! It's a beautiful fall scent I will continue to use into the winter!

Lastly, to round up my monthly favorites, I must mention my beloved bracelet from chinatown. They had two other colors, one in silver and one in rose gold. While I thought this was slightly expensive at $15, I do wish I would have gotten the other colors and a back up of the gold one. I have been looking for them in Flushing and Chinatown so if you see it please let me know! And snag one for yourself! I also love the Alex and Ani Paw Prints Charm Bangle. I have wide wrists and most bangles don't fit me but because they stretch out before you slip them on, they are bound to fit most everything! A standard bracelet is usually 7-7.5 inches and I need an 8 inch bracelet. This is my first Alex and Ani bracelet and I must say I am quite pleased with this! 20% of the proceeds go directly to the Mayor's Alliance for NYC Animals.
