My name is Katie and I have a makeup problem. My problem is there is so much beautiful makeup out there and I need it ALL!!!!!! Ok, maybe not all... but a girl can dream, can't she? Illamasqua had a counter at Bloomingdales but sadly they pulled out of North America. You can get free international shipping on orders over 50 pounds which is about $78.00. That is quite a bit of money, but you can go in with a friend and considering how expensive their products are, all you need to do it get two items and you're practically there!
A single eyeshadow goes for $25.15, so a quad is a much better deal at $55.17. Even though you get a smaller amount of product, but you probably won't use up the entire product anyway, and you basically get 4 colors for the price of two! And it's much easier to travel with. Even though these quads are quite large and have a lot of extra space, I do like them. They all look the same so you can either keep it upside down to read the name of the palette or just open it up and see. I got Reflection, Paranormal, Neutral, and Fundamental Palettes. Sadly they don't have Paranormal and Fundamental offered anymore, but Reflection is on sale right now on their website!
I won't be doing swatches on any of the products because they have amazing swatches on Illamasqua's website; they have swatches on three different skin types, fair, medium, and dark. I love it! They also have a moving swatch video too. I would love to borrow friends' arms to do this! But if you want swatches I'll do them!
We all know I have an obsession with highlighters and blushes. Well, hopefully with seven, yes seven, new blushes, my yearning will be satisfied for a while. HA! It will never be satisfied... But I can come close! I think these blush duos are so nice. I am still worried about fallout when I use one but I just blow the excess powder away and they're ok!
And what's a makeup haul without any lipsticks? I've been dying to try their Glamore Nudes? AHH ALL THE LIPSTICKS! Tease is very light; it makes me look like a 90s porn star. But layered as the foundation to lighten up some other colors is wonderful! I love them all! I hope to get more in the future!
And lastly, my beloved Pure Pigments. To say I'm obsessed is an understatement. I'll just leave it at that. :-)
