I know I know. Another neutral palette. I couldn't help myself. But it's gorgeous so that makes it ok, right? Also, it is limited edition. Uhh... no thanks. Not a fan of LE. But it's so pretty... Well, ok! You broke me down!
The Charlotte Tilbury Fallen Angels Luxury Palette is beyond stunning! I really love it. These colors can be used wet or dry. Dry for a nice buildable coverage or dry for a metallic finish. I love my shimmers like I love my neutrals so I have no problem with the three shimmer shades. You can use any of these colors as a main color for a neutral everyday look, a smokey eye, or just an accent color.
I last reviewed Chanel's Reve D'Orient Quadra Eye Shadow and loved it and now I'm loving this one. Do you need both? Probably not. Do you need one of them? Yes. Yes you do. Which one? It's up to you? It depends which colors you are more drawn to. Me? I couldn't resist both. I even bought these for a Christmas present for a friend! I know Anne will love the Chanel; not only is she beyond obsessed with anything Chanel, she loves stars! This was made with her in mind! The only thing that could be better if the Chanel quad was in purples! And when I saw this one with stars, I knew she had to have it too. I tried to wait to give this to her for her birthday, but I couldn't wait! I'm just proud of myself I haven't told her what I got her! I am so excited! Anyway!
Onto the colors and swatches!
Top Left: A soft pink shimmer. This is a great highlight color or a great color in the center of your lid to brighten your eyes!
Top Right: A soft taupe shimmer. My personal favorite of the whole quad. I was so drawn to this color, it's stunning! This is a great all over color.
Bottom Left: A deep bronze shimmer. This is a great color for the outer crease and really adds some much needed warmth to this palette.
Bottom Right: A matte black. This is great to line your eyes or add some darkness to your look.
At $65, this quad is on the expensive side. Her normal quads go for $52 which is still quite pricey. There used to be a time when I thought $54 was a lot for the Naked Palettes. Now I'm spending more on less colors. What happened? My stupid friend Anne loves high end makeup and would gladly spend $60 on a quad. I need to stop hanging out with her. But is this quad worth the hefty price tag? Yes. You can do versatile looks, going from a quick one color look for a quick glam using the bronze blended out with a simple winged liner, or utilizing all of them for an everyday look and deepen the darker colors in the evening for a night out. This palette would make a lovely gift to a friend or to yourself!
