My friend Anne took me to St. Roch Market and it was great! It's a bougie food court that not a lot of tourists know about, so if you're reading this and make it down to New Orleans, please go there! They have so many neat options!
Thankfully when we went, it wasn't incredibly busy, it was around 6:30 p.m. on a Sunday night, and they all close at 8 p.m., and we were able to find a table for four really easily! Be sure to take a few laps before deciding on what to eat!
I ordered the Bimbim bowl from Koreole, because I love dolsot bibimbap, and the Tempura Shrimp Tacos. I was pretty underwhelmed with the bowl. I can easily get very good Korean food in NYC and was expecting some really great flavors, Korean and Creole, but this was just ok. The tacos on the other hand were amazing! They would have been perfect if the watery juice was soaking the tortillas. I ate them with a fork so it didn't affect it that much, but that was rather disappointing.
Matt didn't see a lot of foods that interested him so he ended up getting a grilled cheese from Dirty Dishes. It was a good grilled cheese but he said it wasn't life changing.
Well, I can't wait for the next time I visit because there are so many different vendors I want to try!
