My friend Lindsay and I went out for tea, but since we both hadn't eaten lunch we decided on an early dinner in the prevening (#bigbang). She had eaten at Agra before and really liked it, so we decided to go there! I'm always up for Indian food.
Sadly, this won't be like my usual food posts because I didn't really get any pictures of the menu or anything like that. I am actually pretty mad at myself for that but what are ya gonna do?
Agra is located on Lex between 62nd and 63rd, right on the corner of 63rd. It's on the second floor and it has a charming, intimate feel to it. I just adore the windows!!
They started us out with this flat crispy bread, which the name alludes me. It was really addicting though!
I ordered a mango lassi because I cannot help myself. Sadly, this didn't really taste all that great. It had a little chalky taste to it. I finished it because it was $4.00, but I wouldn't order it again.
Lindsay ordered the Aloo Gobi, which is sautéed potatoes and cauliflower with fresh tomatoes, ginger, and cilantro. I didn't try any but it looked good.
This was a soupy version of Yellow Daal, I think this was Mulligatawny Soup, which is traditional lentil and chicken flavor with herbs and spices. It was really good and I wish I would have ordered it!
I couldn't decide what I wanted so I just got Chicken Tiki Masala which was really good. It was so much food!
I also got some garlic naan because the entrees didn't come with any. It was good but of course I couldn't finish any of it.
